Welcome to the guide on the Designer Dashboard in BeamUp. This guide will assist you in efficiently navigating through the Designer features in Beamup. By following these instructions, you will be able to find useful icons and features to help you navigate around your design.

Go to design.beamup.ai

When first accessing the Designer, be sure to locate the Help Centre icon. This may be in the bottom left or bottom right of your screen.

In the Help Centre you have access to numerous support and reference materials, as well as a messaging capability to interact with colleagues, vendors or directly with BeamUp.

Click on the three icons to the left of the screen to open the left hand panel. The top icon is for Layers, where you will find multiple layers such as room names or security levels that can be switched on and off in your design. The Reports icon in the middle, provides access to the metadata from your system reports, so you can associate this information with your devices. The Gaps icon at the bottom, indicates where you may have Gaps in your compliance.

Click on the Settings Icon on the right side of the screen to reveal the right hand panel.

Here under the Design tab you can see the details of any device you select from within the design.

Across the top of the screen are icons to help you navigate around your design. Select different floors or versions of a specific design. You can use the select and pan icons to move around you design or you can press the spacebar on your keyboard in conjunction with the left mouse button to pan around your design. In addition, you have Undo and Redo icons to make amendments.

Additional icons enable you to zoom and recentre, or you can use the wheel or scroll function on your mouse.

Finally to the right of the top bar you will find details of when the design was last saved as well as a search box which can be used to find specific devices or rooms within the facility

Every element such as devices, rooms, doors or spaces have their own specific ID and URL which can be found in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. These URLs are useful for sharing when messaging in the help centre to draw attention to spcific areas of interest.
